Changing Seasons

Ski season is winding down in Colorado. Loveland is only open another three weeks. March and April are traditionally snowy months, though. Since March 22nd, Loveland has gotten over six feet of snow and is up to 462 inches of snow for the season, well above their 400 inch annual average. So, the snowboarding has been great, but the work has been hard. Spring snow has a high moisture content, so it's very heavy and hard to shovel.

The weather in Silver Plume has been great lately. It's 50° and sunny now, but we're under a winter weather advisory for 8-12 inches of snow over the next 36 hours. That's spring time in the mountains. I am ready for summer here. My feet hurt from wearing snowboarding boots every day. I'm excited to start hiking, camping, and 4-wheeling again. I've already gone on a few hikes around Silver Plume, but there's still quite a bit of snow at higher elevations.

I'm still working on finding a summer job...
